Contemporary porcelains

The Louvre pursues its policy of opening its doors to contemporary art and establishing a dialogue between past and present. The second edition of Counterpoint will revolve around works in porcelain.

Six artists – Johan Creten, Paul-Armand Gette, Bertrand Lavier, Françoise Quardon, Françoise Vergier, and Huang Yon Ping – have been invited to create new works at the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres especially for the exhibition. Two works by Elmar Trenkwalder and several other works created at the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres will also be on display.

Exhibition made possible through the support of the Caisse des Dépôts and the partnership of the Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres.

Organized by: Marie-Laure Bernadac, head curator, in charge of contemporary art at the Musée du Louvre.
