Presentation of the seven architectural projects for the future Islamic Art galleries.

The Department of Islamic Art will house its collections in a new wing to be constructed inside the Cour Visconti. The project is financed by the exceptionnel donation from Saudi Arabian prince Walid bin Talal. President Jacques Chirac has announced on Tuesday 26, 2005, that the architects Rudy Ricciotti and Mario Bellini were the winners of the competition.
