As part of the partnership between the Musée Départemental de l'Arles Antique and the Musée du Louvre, the Department of Decorative Arts presents an exhibition of the relics of Saint Caesarius—bishop of Arles in the early sixth century—now in the Musée de l'Arles Antique archeological museum.
The exhibition takes place within the department’s medieval collections. In an exceptional gathering around the marble sarcophagus are brought together all of the relics of Saint Caesarius (including a tunic, palliums, sandals, belt, and ivory buckle), as well as epigraphic documents and manuscripts.
