The Café Mollien is located inside the Louvre museum, overlooking the galeries of French painting. Located on the first-floor landing of the Mollien staircase, the café's terrace overlooks the Cour Napoléon and the Carrousel garden. The Café Mollien is the perfect place for lunch or a snack.

A short walk from the Mona Lisa, the Café Mollien is perfectly integrated into the surrounding gallery space, welcoming visitors throughout the day with a selection of light snacks. Set in the heart of the Pavillon Mollien, built by the architect Hector Lefuel, the Café Mollien is located beneath Charles-Louis Müller's painted ceiling, 'Glory distributing Palms and Crowns'. The café offers a chance to relax, surrounded by ornately carved caryatids and atlantes.

With a terrace overlooking the Cour Napoléon and the Carrousel garden, the Café Mollien offers a unique perspective on the museum.

    I'd say you completely misinterpreted her behavior.

    Since the Louvre receives millions of visitors a year I profoundly doubt your feelings about one of their in-house Cafes will influence anyone, especially since you see fit to mention someone's ethnic background as if it were somehow pivotal to your experience.

  • On 30th January I took my daughter to the Louvre for her 21st birthday. I used Cafe Mollien and was shown to my table by a black woman who appeared to be a manageress.
    We were astounded at how rude she was to me. I ordered in French to the best of my ability. She laughed and ridiculed my attempt. I was only ordering tea for 4 persons. She walked away leaving us all feel unwelcome, uncomfortable and a little embarrassed. I visit Paris about 4-5 times a year on business and this has never happened to me before. I know the Louvre is busy and to some extent you have a captive audience but there is no excuse for this poor customer service. It is not what I expect from the French. I will be leaving a tripadvisor comment also recommending people do not use cafe Mollien
