Répartition des ressources du musée du Louvre (2011) - © Musée du Louvre
In addition to its own resources (tickets and other sales) and state subsidies, which represent less than 50% of its budget, the Musée du Louvre finances its activities with the generous help of its patrons (corporations, individual donors, foundations). Without this essential support, many of the museum’s projects would not be possible.
Every donation, regardless of the amount, is a valuable contribution to the museum.
By making an immediate donation, you can choose to contribute to safeguarding collections, artistic and cultural education, a targeted donation campaign or more pressing museum needs, regardless of what they may be.
You also have the option of supporting the Musée du Louvre by planning a future donation or joining one of our annual patrons programs.
Regardless of the amount, your donation is eligible for a major income or business tax deduction.
Help the Louvre fulfill its missions and uphold the values for which it stands: maintaining universal collections, fostering dialogue between cultures and passing on our heritage to future generations.
You can also contribute to the enrichment of national collections by joining the Société des Amis du Louvre. (Friends of the Louvre)

Table de Teschen © Musée du Louvre 2014
Help the museum acquire a treasure of European history
In private hands since its creation in 1779, the Teschen Table is a masterpiece of 18th-century decorative arts. It is both a table and a piece of jewelry, and due to its form and the materials and techniques employed in its creation it is regarded as one of the most extraordinary pieces of furniture ever made.
Classified as a “National Treasure” then as a “Work of Major Heritage Value,” it is also a monument commemorating a key moment in European history. The Teschen Table will have a worthy setting in the Louvre’s new 18th-century decorative arts galleries. Its acquisition is a unique opportunity to keep in France a masterpiece whose symbolic, historical, and artistic dimensions perfectly embody the Louvre’s vocation as a national museum.
