Guided Tours

Tours of the Louvre are conducted by guides from the national museum network (Réunion des Musées Nationaux). Whether you’re a first-time or a seasoned visitor, you’ll find a tour to suit you from the broad range of themes on offer:

- the “Welcome to the Louvre” tour (available in French and English) provides an introduction to the museum’s most iconic works
- other tours (available in French) are based on specific themes concerning art history, a period, a genre, an artist, a collection or the temporary exhibitions
- to explore a subject in greater depth, there are also guided tours comprising 3 or 5 sessions (available in French)

Specific activities are also available for visitors with disabilities, in connection with the current events at the museum or temporary exhibitions: descriptive and touch tours, tours in French Sign Language (LSF) or French lip-reading (LL) tours.

For a detailed list, check the French version of this section.
