Guided Tours
Tours of the Louvre are given by national museum guides. An hour and a half to discover the museum’s collections, whether it is your first visit or you are a regular museum-goer.
The introductory tour (see below) is the best option for a first visit since it gives you an overview of the museum’s most famous works. It is available in English.
Lecture tours (currently available in French only) delve into a specific theme of art history, a period, a genre or an artist from one or several of the museum’s departments.

Booking a guided tour
Individual visitors:
Tickets for the "Louvre's Masterpieces" guided tour can only be bought at the Louvre on the day of your visit.
Groups:
Group visits must be booked in advance. Check the reservation schedule.
