Are you under 30? The Carte Louvre Jeunes entitles holders to a wide range of benefits, including unlimited admission to the museum without waiting in line.

Free, unlimited admission without waiting in line
- to the permanent collections
Rediscover the collections at the Musée du Louvre and the Musée Eugène-Delacroix. The Carte Louvre Jeunes gives you priority admission to the Louvre (via the Passage Richelieu, the Porte des Lions, and the Galerie du Carrousel).
- to all the temporary exhibitions
This season has an oriental flavor, and there are a number of surprises in store. Exhibitions will include "The Song of the World. The Art of Safavid Iran, 1501-1736" (October 2007 – January 2008) and "Babylon" (in March 2008).
- for the person accompanying you, irrespective of age
Visit the permanent collections and temporary exhibitions on Wednesday and Friday evenings (from 6 to 10 p.m.) with the person of your choice. For exhibitions in the Hall Napoléon, you can also bring a guest for the first two weeks after their opening to the public, daytime or evening.
Invitations and reductions

For a free "introductory visit" or "department visit", come to the group reception area (“Accueil des groupes”) under the Pyramid, on the day, with your Carte Louvre Jeunes.
Your card also entitles you to a reduced rate on all other activities (workshops, visits, architectural tours: 4.50 €). Prices may be subject to change.
- for Friday evening events in the auditorium
You can also enjoy films, concerts, and debates at the Louvre. Get your free ticket from the auditorium reception desk!
Cardholders are also entitled to a special rate for the other events at the museum (reduction of at least 50 % daily).

The Carte Louvre Jeunes and contemporary art
For the fifth year running, a contemporary artist was entrusted with creating the visual for the Carte Louvre Jeunes. This season's card was designed by Françoise Quardon.
She used the underlying themes of her work (ornamentation, hybridization, anachronisms and the fantastic) to create an image suggestive of an experience at the Louvre: exploring a work of art by stepping inside it like Alice through the looking glass.
Her departure point was a painting by Otto Marseus van Schrieck entitled Snakes and Butterflies which she re-framed, and in which she appears in disguise, with a "magical object" from the collections. The fantastic iconography of this painting appealed to the artist, who created a kind of contrast by introducing a benevolent figure into a strange and somber scene. The result is a light and metaphorical evocation of the repercussions that artworks create, throughout time, by stimulating our imagination.
