The Garden Bookstore

The Louvre's new Librairie des Jardins (Garden Bookstore) presents a selection of over three thousand books covering garden design and celebrated gardens of the world, landscape and the environment, ecology, botany, history, philosophy, garden-related literature and poetry, practical guides, books for children, Paris gardens, and multimedia titles.

Located in the heart of the Tuileries gardens, the Librairie des Jardins is installed in a vaulted 17th-century chamber beneath the terrace of the Jeu de Paume and Le Nôtre's horeshoe ramp. Stocked with books and items to delight and inspire specialists, amateurs, walkers and budding gardeners alike, the shop is a peaceful retreat from the traffic and bustle of place de la Concorde.

In addition to its comprehensive range of books and other items, the Librairie des Jardins offers book searches and personalized ordering services: just ask the staff for help.
