Splendors of the French court in the 18th century
From April 26 to July 6, 2008, the Kobe City Museum (Japan) presents a special exhibition co-organized by the Louvre. The exhibition invites visitors to discover the arts at the court of France in the eighteenth century through a selection of artworks from the Louvre collections, including pieces of furniture which used to belong to Queen Marie-Antoinette.
The Louvre collection of Renaissance decorative arts offers visitors an introduction to fifteenth-century Italian innovations, and to their diffusion and assimilation in other European countries.
