My Personal Space on louvre.fr

Getting an account on louvre.fr allows you to create personalized albums by selecting images and texts while visiting the site. You can view the albums you created and organize them online in My Personal Space. Creating an account also enables you to subscribe to the louvre.fr newsletter.

Terms and conditions for use of the personal space service

How do I create a personal space on louvre.fr?

To create your free personal space on louvre.fr, you must first create an account; to do so, click on Register above, and complete the online registration form. Once you have confirmed your registration, you will be sent an e-mail with your password and will then be able to access your personal space.


How do I access my personal space?

You can access your personal space at any time during your visit to louvre.fr by clicking on Sign In to My Space in the My Personal Space menu on the left of the site, or on Sign in to my personal space at the top of the page next to the search engine.

To sign in, you will need:
- your e-mail address (the one you supplied when you registered),
- your password (sent to you by e-mail after confirmation of your registration).


How can I use my personal space?

Creating albums and adding items
During your visit to louvre.fr, you can select any items that interest you to create personalized albums that you can later view in your personal space. You can put many different types of content in your albums:
  • Artwork descriptions (under the heading "Collection," then "Selected Works" for each department)
  • Thematic Trails (under the heading "Activities")
  • Magazines (under the heading "Resources")
  • In-Depth Studies (under the heading "Resources")
  • History of the Louvre (under the heading "Museum")
  • Virtual Tours (under the heading "Museum")
  • Publications (under the heading "Museum," then "Books, DVDs & CD-ROMs")
  • Behind the Scenes (under the heading "Museum," then "About the Louvre")
  • Latest Acquisitions (under the heading "Collection," then "Latest Acquisitions" for each department)
  • Works in Focus (under the heading "Collection," then "Works in Focus" for each department)
  • A Closer Look (under the heading "Resources")
You can create up to 20 different albums on your personal space, with a maximum of 60 items each.

Organizing my albums
You can use several functions to organize your album:
  • View: to view the contents of your album
  • Organize: to change the order in which items appear in your album, or delete items from your album
  • Delete: to delete the album you have selected (be careful: if you delete an album, you delete everything it contains)
  • Rename: to change the name of your album
  • Print: to print your album
  • Send to a friend: to send an album to a friend by e-mail, and add a message if you wish
If you do not access an album for a period of one year, it will be deleted. You will be notified by e-mail one month before deletion: if you do not modify your album after receiving this e-mail it will be permanently deleted.


Managing my personal information

If you wish, you can change or add to the personal information related to your account in the My Personal Details section, accessible via the My Personal Space menu. You can personalize your password by clicking on Change your password, modify your e-mail address by selecting Change your e-mail address, and update all your other information directly in the online form.


Asking for a new password

If you forget or lose your password, you can request another by clicking on Forgot Your Password?. To verify that you are the account holder, you will be asked to enter your date of birth.
