The Touch Gallery

Guided tours and workshops
Two printed programs—"Adults" and "Children and Families"—are available to help you plan your visit and take part in guided tours and workshops. Visitors should check to make sure that the activity selected is accessible for a given disability.

Special publications
"Un nouveau regard" ("A New Look") is a new series designed for visually-impaired visitors. (At present, it is only available in French.) It introduces a complementary approach to works in the Louvre's collections, taking into consideration the concerns and needs of visually-impaired visitors.

"Visites-conférences pour sourds et déficients visuels"
The program (in French only) presents guided tours that are given for hearing- and visually-impaired visitors, and is available at the information desks and on the Web site.

Group Visits |

Special visits and workshops are available to all types of visitors, adapted to their specific disability.

You are considered a group if you have seven or more people, including accompanying adults. Groups are limited to twenty-five people, with a maximum of nine wheelchairs per group.
Reservations for a group visit unaccompaned by a museum staff member are free for groups disabled visitors. You must reserve a minimum of two months in advance.
Reservations for a workshop or a group visit led by a museum staff member must be made a minimum of three months in advance. The cost is 38€ for a group of visitors with disabilities and accompanying adults (prices are susceptible to modification during the year). Visits last between 90 minutes and two and a half hours, depending on the activity selected.
Special visits and workshops are available to all types of visitors, depending on their specific disability.
For visitors with developmental disabilities, smaller groups are preferred. Group visits consist of one or a series of guided tours or workshops that present the museum's collections in an appropriate, enjoyable manner.
Groups of visitors with physical disabilities, led by a museum guide, can discover the collections via accessible itineraries.
Visitors who are blind or visually-impaired can take part in guided tours in which works of art are described. They may also participate in tactile visits, in which they are allowed to touch certain works of art or casts of them. Workshops are also available: they are limite to eight participants and address various themes.
Visitors who are deaf or hearing-impaired can take part in guided tours, given in French sign language. These are led by deaf museum guides and address various themes.
