Thanks to exceptional loans from French and European museums, combined with the collection of the Musée Delacroix, this exhibition presents works by Eugène Delacroix and his contemporaries, alongside works by 19th- and 20th-century artists. It brings together finished works and their preparatory studies, also linked with the objects, casts, prints, and photographs that nourished them in entering the studio space.
Efforts for deconstruction and gaining perspective are enriched by the invitation extended to three French young contemporary artists: Anne-Lise Broyer, Laurent Pernot, and Jérôme Zonder, with the mediation of Léa Bismuth.
