When to visit

Musée du Louvre

  • 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
    Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Closed

Last entry: 1 hour before closing

Clearing of rooms: 30 minutes before closing

Public holidays: the Louvre is closed on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December. It remains open on all other public holidays unless they fall on a Tuesday, the museum’s day of closure.

The museum will close at 5 p.m. on 24 and 31 December 2021. Visitors will be asked to vacate the premises 30 minutes before closing.
