The museum is open today from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

The Louvre is carrying out some major maintenance and renovation work to make the visitor experience as comfortable and positive as possible. As a result, some of the museum rooms have to be periodically closed. In addition, some rooms may need to be closed for weather-related or technical reasons. 
On Wednesdays and Fridays, rooms on Level 2 will open at 10:30 a.m.

Louvre Couture. Art and fashion: statement pieces. In order to carry out regular maintenance on the collections of the Musée du Louvre, rooms 601–604 will close from Thursday 21 August. 
In high temperatures, the Napoleon III Apartments may close for preservation purposes.
 

Friday, 15 August: The museum will be open on Friday, 15 August with an adapted opening schedule for the galleries.
