Elias Crespin, L’Onde du Midi
The Louvre has commissioned another major public artwork, inviting Elias Crespin to design a permanent piece for the museum. The Venezuelan artist chose to install his kinetic creation in the Colonnade of the prestigious Escalier du Midi designed by Napoleon I’s architects Percier and Fontaine.
The Louvre is open every day (except Tuesday) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Free admission on the first Saturday of each month
from 6 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
