Did you know?

The Dunnock belongs to the Accentor bird family, comprising twelve species worldwide.
Most of the other species are high-altitude birds. It is thus the only species of the family that can be found in lowland areas, mainly in dense shrubs and bushes. Also known as the ‘hedge sparrow’, it is not a sparrow at all.
